"This intensive 80-hour course is designed to prepare students for the Florida State Fire College apparatus and pump operator certification. It combines the curriculum of the required FFP 1301 and FFP 1302 courses into a single program. The first week of the course is dedicated to didactic learning, covering the principles of fire service hydraulics and calculations for fire ground tactics. The second week focuses on practical, hands-on application, pumping and driving the apparatus. Upon successful completion of this training and the state written exam, students will be certified as a Florida State Fire College apparatus and pump operator."
